In the heart of the Caribbean, Playa del Carmen, a charming fishing village that has become a must-see seaside resort on the Yucatan peninsula, has around fifteen diving spots suitable for all levels. This real aquatic paradise is perfectly located in order to make the most of all the assets of this region. Cozumel Island is only a 30min speedboat ride away. The cenotes are located 20min from the dive center and it only takes 40min to discover the whale sharks.

It was in Cozumel that Mexico’s first protected marine park was established over 25 years ago. This place is a real sanctuary where you will be surprised at each stroke of the palm by the diversity of its underwater life but also by their sizes… they are enormous. In Cozumel, the lobsters come out of their holes and taunt you knowing that they are safe from all fishing. We take you there every day from the dive center by speedboat.

Whale sharks, the largest fish in the world, congregate by the hundreds each summer north of Cancun. You will be able to swim with these giants of the seas in order to observe them in complete freedom. We will be the first on-site to make the most of it before the other tourists arrive.

Every year from November to March, bull sharks congregate in the Mexican Caribbean. Playa Del Carmen is the best place in the world to dive with them. Unforgettable memories and guaranteed thrills! Phocéa does not endorse the feeding. It is therefore without bait that we meet these majestic creatures.

A few kilometers from Playa Del Carmen, near a small fishing village, there is a beautiful submerge shipwreck. In addition to being covered with coral, to our delight, eagle rays have found refuge there. We take you swimming with these magnificent creatures. The sailfish is the fastest fish in the world. It’s the sea cheetah. It can reach 110 km/h, or 30m per second. It is north of Cancun that these animals meet every year at the beginning of the year to hunt sardines in groups. We invite you to witness this unique spectacle in complete safety. Nevertheless, it is a day reserved for people not very sensitive to seasickness because the conditions are often rough.
